#PKP2018 Waimirirangi, one of the co-founders of PKP submitted this video to The Moko Foundation. This was an application for 1 of 12 scholarships to attend the UNPFII (United Nations Permanent Forum on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples) in New York. We were fortunate to get 1 of the scholarships. We presented at a packed event in the UN headquarters alongside 11 other amazing rangatahi Māori on topics relating to environmental degradation, health issues for Indigenous peoples, the importance of mātauranga Māori, and constitutional transformation from a rangatahi Māori perspective.

#PKP2018 we took whānau along with us to a few places we hit when we do our kai shopping. This video is a snapshot look into plastic free, refillable, meat and dairy free, tūkino free, reusable and recyclable options and approaches to getting kai. These are just some options to help minimise our use of plastic and consumption of industrially farmed foods during PKP.

PKP teams up with TWoA 2019

#PKP2019 this video is titled Rangi the 'kai'tiaki. Pipiri Ki A Papatūānuku & the Tau Ora team at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa team up! We travelled across the Aotearoa to 10 of the main TWoA campuses to share the kaupapa of PKP. We ran 3 seperate small sprint PKP weeks with the kaimahi to see how making small changes within the workplace helped to collectively minimise TWoA impact on our taiao. Raroera Campus based in Te Rapa Hamilton ended up taking the W with the most staff signed up and most impact made!

#PKP2021 Toa Taua Taiao was a rangatahi wānanga held during the full moon phases of April 2021. A collective of 40+ rangatahi from around Aotearoa came together in the heart of kotahitanga/unity to get to know each other, build relationships with one another, explore our taiao and discuss topics pertaining to the future of our generation.

#PKPK2019 we showed whānau how we manage our kai waste using a bokashi kai waste system. Bokashi is good for whānau or individuals who live in cities or town house situations where you can't have an organic hot compost system. You can also add cooked kai, meat and other non-plantbased kai to this system unlike work farms and organic home compost systems.
